Allred Outraises Cruz By $1.6 Million in Senate Campaign Donations in Third Quarter

Allred finishes the reporting period with $7.9 million in the bank – a $2.1+ million cash-on-hand advantage over Cruz

Dallas, TX — With the Q3 FEC filing deadline having passed, Congressman Colin Allred continues his incredible momentum and historic pace by outraising Ted Cruz by over $1.6 million dollars in Senate campaign donations in the third fiscal quarter of 2023.

In addition to easily surpassing Cruz’s $3.09 million Q3 fundraising haul in campaign committee funds, the Allred campaign:

  • Ends Q3 with $7.9 million cash-on-hand, more than $2.1 million more than Cruz’s $5.75 million
  • Received contributions from 80,000 individual grassroots donors in Q3 alone, more than double Cruz’s 34,000
  • Outraised all candidates in the primary – the closest trails by a 20-1 margin for the cycle

Since launching his campaign, Congressman Allred has been proud to receive donations from over 150,000 unique supporters, including supporters from 236 of Texas’s 254 counties. The average donation this quarter to the campaign was just $29.83, and 95% of donations were under $100.

“Since launching his campaign five months ago, Colin Allred has traveled the state and heard Texans loud and clear: we cannot afford 6 more years of Ted Cruz in the Senate,” said Colin Allred for Senate Campaign Manager Paige Hutchinson. “This campaign is about bringing people together, and the remarkable support from grassroots donors across the state is one of the many reasons we are confident we are going to have the resources we need to make Ted Cruz a full time podcaster.”
