Allred Statement on Texas Falling Out of CNBC’s Top States for Business for First Time

DALLAS – Congressman Colin Allred released the following statement on Texas falling out of CNBC’s top states for business for the first time since they began this ranking.

While politicians like Ted Cruz wage one culture war after another, our state is falling behind on the things that matter. Their failed leadership is costing our state jobs and economic development, and not giving Texas families what they need to be successful. Investing in our education system, infrastructure and health care is not just the right thing to do for our state, it’s how we will continue to grow, keep jobs, and attract the best and brightest.

“I will always work to find common ground instead of pitting Texans against each other.”

Allred has consistently been recognized for his pro-business and job creation efforts in Congress, earning the endorsement of both the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the AFL-CIO in his last two Congressional elections.
